Operational details for New Jersey
Which compliance standards apply?
Kiln-dried hardwood meets NWPCA Uniform Standard for Wood Pallets; moisture content verified <19% at dispatch, blade-cut deck boards, no visible bark.
New Jersey regional shipping and logistics
Standing-order programs schedule a recurring weekly truckload (or partial) for the same delivery window; price-locked for 12 months; preferred for 3PL warehouse refill cycles.
Flatbed delivery handles oversized loads or pallets with overhanging product; tarping included; preferred for export crates and bulk lumber shipments.
What are the pallet specifications?
Pallet weight: new GMA averages 38-42 lb per unit; recycled Grade A averages 35-39 lb; lighter chemical-industry 40x40 pallets weigh 28-32 lb; freight estimation should use 40 lb/pallet for inbound planning.
Standard 48x40 GMA pallets feature 5/8 inch deck boards with a 4-board face pattern; bottom configuration is 3-board for four-way fork entry; nail pattern uses 2.5 inch screw-shank galvanized fasteners.
Delivery and logistics
Standard delivery scheduling: orders confirmed by 2 PM EST ship same day from the nearest yard; orders after 2 PM ship next-business-day; weekend dispatch available with 24-hour notice for premium accounts.
Customer use case
Furniture manufacturers in High Point NC (and southeast suppliers shipping to FL) use custom oversized pallets for assembled freight; 60x40 and 72x48 builds available on 5-day production lead time.
How are these pallets priced?
Volume pricing kicks in at 100 pallets, 500 pallets, and 2,000 pallets per month; sustained standing orders lock pricing for 12 months; spot orders subject to current lumber market pricing.
Sustainability
Pallet recycling diverts ~80% of returned stock from landfill; recycled pallets carry 60-70% lower embodied carbon than new GMA; our annual sustainability report documents tons diverted per customer.
