Operational details for New Jersey
Which compliance standards apply?
GMA 48x40 four-way stringer construction conforms to the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA) 2014 Uniform Standard; deck board configuration 7-board top, 5-board bottom.
New Jersey regional shipping and logistics
Drop-trailer programs maintain a customer-dedicated 53-foot trailer on-site; we swap full-for-empty on a scheduled 24/48/72-hour rotation; preferred for high-throughput dock operations.
Dry-van loads handle weather-sensitive pallet stock and food-grade freight; sealed loads with bill-of-lading documentation; supports DOT-required commercial routing.
What are the pallet specifications?
Recycled-Grade A pallets meet 48x40 GMA spec with cosmetic wear only; no broken boards, no replaced stringers, all original GMA stamp visible; suitable for primary food-grade and pharmaceutical loads.
Recycled-Grade B pallets meet structural spec but may have up to 2 replaced deck boards; suitable for industrial loads outside food/pharma; price point 30-40% below new GMA.
Delivery and logistics
Buyback programs pay current market rate for returned pallets in Grade A condition; minimum 50 pallets per pickup; integrated with our recycling stream for sustainability reporting.
Customer use case
Beverage distributors (beer, soda, water) move primarily 48x40 GMA in dry-van loads; standard week sees Mon/Wed/Fri delivery rotation; volume discounts kick in at 200+ pallets per week sustained.
How are these pallets priced?
Custom pallet pricing depends on lumber spec, build complexity, and quantity: small runs (50-200 units) typically $35-55 per unit; large runs (500+ units) drop to $22-32 per unit; quotes returned in <2 hours.
Sustainability
Carbon footprint per delivered pallet (cradle-to-gate, including 75-mile delivery): new GMA ~21 kg CO2e; recycled Grade A ~7 kg CO2e; custom builds vary by spec.
