Operational details for Ohio
Which compliance standards apply?
Kiln-dried hardwood meets NWPCA Uniform Standard for Wood Pallets; moisture content verified <19% at dispatch, blade-cut deck boards, no visible bark.
Ohio regulatory context
Ohio EPA Division of Materials and Waste Management regulates wood pallet recycling under OAC 3745-27; our partner facilities in Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati maintain OEPA registration for return-stream service.
Cuyahoga River industrial corridor manufacturers in Cleveland require heavy-duty pallets for steel-coil and bar-stock loads; we supply reinforced 4x4 hardwood stringers rated for 6,000 lb static loads.
What are the pallet specifications?
48x40 GMA load capacity is 2,800 lb racked (face-loaded), 4,600 lb static, and 2,500 lb dynamic per ASME MH1 2016; deck board span 3.5 inches; deflection under rated load <0.5 inch.
Lumber spec for new GMA stock: mixed hardwood (oak, maple, ash, hickory) with minimum 600 SG (specific gravity); kiln dried to <19% moisture; visible defects limited to wane on outer 1/3 of deck board only.
Delivery and logistics
Flatbed delivery handles oversized loads or pallets with overhanging product; tarping included; preferred for export crates and bulk lumber shipments.
Customer use case
Manufacturing customers running JIT (just-in-time) lines require pallets delivered to specific dock doors on 2-hour windows; we offer GPS-tracked delivery with 15-minute arrival ETAs.
How are these pallets priced?
ISPM-15 export documentation included on every applicable load at no additional cost; some competitors charge $50-150 per load for the certificate; we don't.
Sustainability
Pallet recycling diverts ~80% of returned stock from landfill; recycled pallets carry 60-70% lower embodied carbon than new GMA; our annual sustainability report documents tons diverted per customer.
