Operational details for Ohio
Which compliance standards apply?
FSMA Section 204 traceability supported on every food-grade load; pallet ID linked to the lumber lot, kiln batch, and dispatch ticket in our chain-of-custody database.
Ohio regulatory context
Port of Cleveland and Port of Toledo Great Lakes shipping requires ISPM-15 documentation for export loads to Canada; we coordinate with Great Lakes Stevedoring and Midwest Terminals for certified loads.
Ohio Department of Transportation oversize-load permits require pre-approved routing for pallet shipments above 80,000 lb GVW; our DOT-permitted carriers handle I-70, I-71, and I-75 corridor routing.
What are the pallet specifications?
ISPM-15 export pallets receive heat treatment to 56C core temperature for 30 minutes; stamping shows IPPC logo, country code 'US', registered facility number, and treatment code 'HT'.
Block pallets (four-way entry) use nine 4-inch hardwood blocks with continuous-face top deck; ideal for ASRS (automated storage and retrieval) and AGV (automated guided vehicle) operations where stringer interruptions cause read-failures.
Delivery and logistics
Live-load operations bring the trailer to your dock for a 90-minute window; loader/unloader provided; suited to customers without dedicated dock space or with intermittent volume.
Customer use case
Beverage distributors (beer, soda, water) move primarily 48x40 GMA in dry-van loads; standard week sees Mon/Wed/Fri delivery rotation; volume discounts kick in at 200+ pallets per week sustained.
How are these pallets priced?
Net 30 terms standard for established customers with credit approval; Net 15 or COD for first three orders; credit card and ACH accepted for spot orders.
Sustainability
Carbon footprint per delivered pallet (cradle-to-gate, including 75-mile delivery): new GMA ~21 kg CO2e; recycled Grade A ~7 kg CO2e; custom builds vary by spec.
