Operational details for Pennsylvania
Which compliance standards apply?
GMA 48x40 four-way stringer construction conforms to the National Wooden Pallet & Container Association (NWPCA) 2014 Uniform Standard; deck board configuration 7-board top, 5-board bottom.
Pennsylvania regulatory context
Lancaster County agricultural packers require ISPM-15 documentation for produce export to Canada; we maintain seasonal inventory at Harrisburg and Lancaster yards for Pennsylvania Dutch wholesale distribution.
Port of Philadelphia (PhilaPort) and Pittsburgh Inland Port require ISPM-15 documentation for export loads; we coordinate with Greenwich Terminals and Penn Terminals for certified loads through pier gate inspections.
What are the pallet specifications?
Standard 48x40 GMA pallets feature 5/8 inch deck boards with a 4-board face pattern; bottom configuration is 3-board for four-way fork entry; nail pattern uses 2.5 inch screw-shank galvanized fasteners.
Recycled-Grade B pallets meet structural spec but may have up to 2 replaced deck boards; suitable for industrial loads outside food/pharma; price point 30-40% below new GMA.
Delivery and logistics
Flatbed delivery handles oversized loads or pallets with overhanging product; tarping included; preferred for export crates and bulk lumber shipments.
Customer use case
Construction supply yards (Home Depot, Lowe's distribution) move lumber and hardware on 48x40 GMA in 5,000+ pallet weekly cycles; we supply both the inbound load pallets and the return-stream recycled stock.
How are these pallets priced?
Volume pricing kicks in at 100 pallets, 500 pallets, and 2,000 pallets per month; sustained standing orders lock pricing for 12 months; spot orders subject to current lumber market pricing.
Sustainability
Our Lakeland and Jacksonville recycling streams process 200,000+ pallets per year; broken stock is repaired or chipped for mulch (sold separately); zero-landfill goal targeted for 2027.
